Michael Murphy, M.D.
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Michael Murphy is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of HealthChannels, the parent company of CareThrough, QueueLogix and ScribeAmerica, LLC. Today, ScribeAmerica is the nation’s most frequently used professional scribe training and management company. ScribeAmerica was ranked on the INC. 500/5000 for America’s fastest-growing private companies in 2011-2017. ScribeAmerica was also the recipient of the “Good to Great” award in 2015 and honored by being ranked number two by Modern Healthcare as one of the nations Hottest Healthcare companies.
Prior to HealthChannels, Dr. Murphy served as an Army Ranger for the 1st Ranger Battalion in Savannah, Georgia, which allowed him to gain various leadership skills along with the ability to develop standard operating procedures. Dr. Murphy has been a leader on multiple issues including medical scribes, department throughput, optimization of the provider to patient ratios, the transition to value-based care and innovative technologies. His goals are to continue making all practice locations an environment built for an exceptional patient experience and allow providers to solely focus on patient care.
Dr. Murphy received his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University and completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. He was an Ernst and Young Finalist, has co-authored one textbook and is involved in three peer review articles. Dr. Murphy also runs the Fore the Brave charity golf tournament.
Tony Andrulonis, M.D.
Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Tony Andrulonis leads operations throughout the HealthChannels family of solutions. In this role he collaborates cross-functionally with executive, senior and local management to define key performance objectives, and develop strategies to address healthcare delivery challenges.
As an emergency medicine physician, Dr. Andrulonis has driven groundbreaking results in clinical care, and administrative efficiency over the course of his career. With expertise improving the quality of life for patients and providers, he guides health systems through the transition to value-based care.
Prior to joining HealthChannels, Dr. Andrulonis served as the President of Emergency Medicine at Envision Health, and Chief of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Baptist Health in Miami, Florida. As a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Task Force member, Dr. Andrulonis contributed to the emergency response for 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. He is a sought out speaker, and was recognized by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) as a “Hero of Emergency Medicine” during their 40th Anniversary celebration.
Dr. Andrulonis graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed a residency at the University of Pennsylvania. He holds an MBA from Northwestern, Kellogg School of Management and served as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
Executive Vice President of Senior Management
Jennifer Larsen joined HealthChannels in 2006 and has been key in the company’s growth from small startup to market leader to industry pioneer. She was one of the company’s first managers to implement new medical scribe programs across the U.S. At ScribeAmerica, the original HealthChannels company, Jennifer authored the guide to standardizing program procedures for managers, streamlined operational practices and created the compliance protocol to meet national Joint Commission standards for scribes. Today, as a partner and executive vice president of senior management, Jennifer is responsible for overseeing and improving programs nationwide.
Before joining HealthChannels, Jennifer graduated from the University of California at Irvine with a Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences. She was a recipient of full athletic scholarships and played Division I tennis for both University of Wyoming and University of California at Irvine.
Executive Vice President of Operations
Jackie Reynolds has been a part of the HealthChannels team since 2006, when she served as a standout medical scribe at Tri-City Medical Center. After excelling at her initial position as project leader and regional manager, she took on the role of partner and vice president of business development and later executive vice president of operations. Jackie holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences from San Diego University.
Mike Welch, MBA
Chief Financial Officer
Before joining HealthChannels, Mike Welch spent four years with Sunera working on a variety of projects including internal audit compliance, cash to GAAP accounting conversions, audit support for clients and evaluations of intangible assets—all while serving as the main contact for financial reporting. Prior to that, he started his career in Audit at Deloitte & Touche (D&T) in South Florida, working on the firm’s largest public companies in the South Florida market.
Now licensed in the state of Florida, Mike holds a B.S. in accounting from York College of Pennsylvania and an MBA with accounting concentration from Florida Atlantic University.
Gary B. Glass
General Counsel & Head of Human Resources
Gary joined HealthChannels with more than two decades’ worth of legal, compliance and human resources experience in various arenas including government, large law firms, and privately-held and publicly traded companies. He began his legal career as a criminal prosecutor at the New York County District Attorney’s office in Manhattan. After three years as an Assistant District Attorney, he joined the private sector as an associate at Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler and then as a partner at Winston & Strawn, a global white-shoe law firm with 1,000+ attorneys across three continents. After 11 years of outside counsel practice, Gary moved in-house in 2002 as a Senior Assistant General Counsel for Altria Group Inc., a Fortune 20 consumer product manufacturing conglomerate including Philip Morris, Kraft Foods, and Miller Beer. At Altria, based in New York City, Gary focused on litigation, corporate compliance, and human resources. He later joined UST Inc., a $12 billion S&P 500 manufacturing company based in Connecticut, as the Company’s General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. After UST was acquired and its HQ relocated to Va. in 2009, Gary accepted the role of General Counsel, Chief Human Resources Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer at iGPS Logistics, a privately-held asset pooling company based in Florida. After 5+ years at iGPS, Gary joined HealthChannels (then called ScribeAmerica) in 2015 and currently serves as the Company’s General Counsel, Chief Human Resource Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary.
Gary graduated from Princeton University in 1987 and Fordham University School of Law in 1992.
Chief Strategy Officer
Craig Newman serves as the Chief Strategy Officer for HealthChannels where he supports current and prospective partners assess the impact of scribes within their healthcare system. Craig also collaborates with Dr. Murphy and the Client Solutions team to think through new strategic initiatives to better serve our partners.
Prior to joining HealthChannels, Craig spent the past eight and half years with the Advisory Board Company, a national healthcare research and solutions firm. While with the Advisory Board, Craig worked in a consultative role to support hospitals and health systems with their service line planning and clinical technology assessment. Craig also worked to launch several initiatives focused on network strategy, referral management, and various use cases for leveraging real time-predictive analytics.
Craig currently resides in Washington, D.C. In his spare time, Craig enjoys golfing, cooking, and traveling.
